What do we learn

The qualification in Well-Being is designed to help develop students’ knowledge an understanding of their own and others’ wellbeing. We cover a range of units to suit students’ circumstances and interests. The main objective is to help students to understand the impact lifestyle choices can have so that they can then make informed decisions and healthy choices.

Available units are;

  • Introduction to stress and stress management

  • Develop and awareness of mental health

  • Develop and awareness of substance misuse

  • Personal safety awareness

  • Introductory awareness of the importance of healthy eating and drinking for adults

  • Introduction to alcohol awareness for the individual

  • Dementia awareness

  • Understanding eating disorders

  • Diabetes awareness in health and care

  • Weight management and body image

Why do we learn it

Being proactive with wellbeing enables better focus, creativity, and mental health reducing student burnout and promoting positive relationships. We do the qualification in Wellbeing to enhance overall academic performance and to develop essential life skills for future success.

How do we assess it (Diff accreditations etc)

We study Well-Being through the NCFE CACHE Level 1 Certificate in Well-Being.

How do we do? results

Our students are graded as ‘Achieved’ or ‘Not Yet Achieved’. Students who do not complete the required amount of credits across a range of units for the qualification can be awarded the units that they have completed.

Musician, Composer, Singer, Songwriter, Audio Engineer, Producer, Live event technician, Music therapist, Musical director.

Hours per week

One lesson of 60 minutes per week.
