What do we learn |
In history, students discover why and how our world and country is shaped the way it is. In KS3, we cover a vast range of topics. This includes, the Vikings, medicine through time, crime and punishment, and World War 1 and 2. While with KS4, there is more of a focus on medicine through time, past monarchs including Elizabeth 1st, and wars to prepare them for GCSE. |
|
Why do we learn it |
Learning history in school is essential to understand how past events, cultures, and decisions have shaped our world today. This helps students develop critical thinking, and empathy, which can be transferred to other subjects and everyday life. |
