What do we learn |
The intent of the Music curriculum is to enable students to explore, develop and express ideas and concepts through different styles of Music from around the world. |The curriculum intends to teach the students three artistic processes;

Why do we learn it |
Music is essential for a well-rounded education, fostering brain development, emotional intelligence and crucial life skills. It builds resilience and serves a tool for emotional expression, reducing anxiety and stress, while encouraging creativity. |

How do we assess it (Diff accreditations etc) |
We study music through recommendations in the national curriculum and OCR GSCSE exam board. |

How do we do? results |
Our students are graded against OCR GCSE music 9 – 1. |

Hours per week |
One lesson of 70 minutes at KS3, two lessons of 70 minutes at GCSE per week. |
