Pupil Premium
What is the Pupil Premium?
The pupil premium is a grant given to schools to close the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers, and to support pupils with parents in the armed forces (this part of it is also known as the 'service premium'). The Key Leaders

Our Approach
We follow the Department for Education's 5-step approach to developing an effective pupil premium strategy:
-
Identify challenges - We assess what's preventing our disadvantaged pupils from achieving their potential
-
Use evidence - We consider high-quality, independent evidence when choosing interventions
-
Develop our strategy - We create a 3-year strategic plan with ambitious but realistic targets
-
Deliver and monitor - We integrate activities with our curriculum and continuously monitor effectiveness
-
Evaluate impact - We measure success based on outcomes for eligible pupils The Key Leaders
Accountability and Transparency
We publish a pupil premium strategy statement each year by 31 December, using the template published by the Department for Education. This provides details of how we're spending the grant and its impact on our pupils. The Key Leaders
The grant can be spent to benefit eligible pupils registered at our school, and we can also use it on whole-class interventions which will benefit non-disadvantaged pupils, and to support non-eligible pupils with identified needs, such as those who have or have had a social worker, or who act as a carer. The Key Leaders
Measuring Impact
We continuously track and evaluate the impact of our pupil premium spending to ensure it makes a real difference to our pupils' outcomes. Our evaluation focuses on:
-
Academic progress and attainment
-
Attendance and engagement
-
Wellbeing and personal development
-
Participation in enrichment activities
